Climate Change x SRHR Investment Framework
YLabs, in partnership with women’s healthcare company, Organon, developed this first-of-its-kind strategic framework on how funders can assess, anticipate, and respond to the gendered impacts of climate change on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) investments.
This resource was developed through a comprehensive desk review of 48 peer-reviewed articles and white papers to assess current evidence about the impacts of climate change on SRHR in low and middle income countries (LMIC). A call for case studies from grassroots SRHR organizations (n=16), as well as expert interviews (n=21), were conducted to understand SRHR challenges faced by women and girls because of climate change, and examples of adaptation strategies being used at the community level.
