The ENGAGE presentation, “HoPE-LVB,” aims to improve individuals’ understanding of the HoPE-LVB project (Health of People and the Environment in the Lake Victoria Basin) and the population, health, and environment (PHE) approach. The presentation is designed to promote policy dialogue on the relationship between population, health, and environment; and the challenges faced by communities in the Lake Victoria Basin. Les zones humides de Rukiga subissent des pressions croissantes de la part d'une population humaine croissante qui a besoin de terres agricoles. Les zones humides sont vitales pour les humains (pour la sécurité alimentaire et hydrique et la prévention des inondations) et l'oiseau national de l'Ouganda, la grue couronnée grise en voie de disparition (pour l'habitat de nidification). A video of the November 2019 Madagascar PHE Network showcase event to review five years of achievements since the Network’s creation. More than 100 people gathered at the Hotel Carlton Anosy in Antananarivo, Madagascar, including representatives from 40 health and environmental organisations plus local associations, communities, ministries, funders, embassies and the media. Key results, implementation experiences and lessons learned were shared through presentations, exhibition stands, posters, discussion panels and community testimonies.
